Prof. Qinmin Yang

Zhejiang University, China

Yang Qinmin, Qiushi distinguished professor of Zhejiang University, doctoral supervisor, was selected as a Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education. Mainly engaged in industrial data intelligence, renewable energy and energy internet, intelligent control system theory and other research work. In the past five years, he has presided over more than 10 national projects/topics, including joint key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, general projects, 863 projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, intelligent manufacturing projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and tens of millions of horizontal projects. He has published more than 100 papers and 3 chapters in English, and has been selected into the "Annual Scientific Influence Ranking" of Stanford University and Elsevier Database in the United States, ranking among the top 2% scientists in the world. Obtained 4 American patents and more than 80 invention patents in China. At present, he is a senior member of IEEE, member of ASME and APNNS, and vice chairman of ADPRL Professional Committee of China Automation Society.

ATIF IQBAL (Fellow IEEE (USA), Fellow IET (UK), Fellow IE (India), Fellow AIAA (Asia Pacific), Fellow AAIA) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India, in 1991 and 1996, respectively, and Ph.D. degree from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, U.K., in 2006. He received D.Sc. degree (Habilitation) in control, informatics, and electrical engineering from the Gdansk University of Technology, Gdansk, Poland in 2019. He is a Full Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Qatar University, Doha, Qatar, and a former Full Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, AMU, Aligarh, India. Prof. Iqbal is Honorary Adjunct Professor at M.A. American University, Nigeria, and Bharath University, India, He is also Adjunct Faculty at the Community College, Doha, Qatar. Prof. Iqbal has been listed in top 2% highly cited scientists of the world  (Stanford University, USA) since 2019. He has published widely in international journals and conferences on his research findings related to power electronics, variable speed drives, e-mobility, smart grid, complex energy transition, micro and nano grids and renewable energy sources. He has authored or coauthored more than 600 research articles, 8 patents, and four books and several chapters in edited books. He has supervised several large research and development projects worth several million USD. He has supervised 21 PhD He was also a recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Merit Award for year 2014-2015 and the Research Excellence Awards at Qatar University, in 2015, and 2022. He has received Research Excellence Award from the College of Engineering, Qatar University in 2019. He has received several best research papers awards in top International Conferences. He is serving as the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Qatar Section. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics Senior Editor IEEE Access and Editorial Board Member IEEE ACCESS.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Ismail Bin Musirin obtained Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Hons) in 1990 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, MSc in Pulsed Power Technology in 1992 from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia in 2005. Professor Ismail Bin Musirin has authored and co-authored 2 books and over 300 papers published in international indexed journals and included in conference proceedings. He is also an international journal reviewer for IEEE Transactions, Elsevier Science, WSEAS, John Wiley, IET and some other publishers.  He has been the organizing chair for International Electrical engineering and Optimization Conference (PEOCO) since 2007. He has delivered keynote speeches at Cambridge University in the UK, as well as at universities in Dubai (UAE), South Korea and Malaysia. His research interests include artificial intelligence, optimization techniques, power system analysis, renewable energy, distributed generation and power system stability. He is a senior member at the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), member of Artificial Immune System Society (ARTIST) and member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG). To date he has examined more than 35 PhD theses and more than 45 MSc theses from Malaysia and abroad.

He has published more than 100 publications. He has more than 5 PhD students and more than 10 MSc students graduated under his supervision. He has accumulated more than RM 1mill in research grants (government, international and national). He is the founding member of the Advanced Lightning, Power and Energy Research Centre (ALPER), UPM. He is a registered Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Professional Engineer (Ir.), a member of The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and a Senior Member of IEEE. His areas of interest include power system stability, application of AI in power systems and power quality.
